Maggie Drummond-Bahl, Executive Director
Maggie Drummond-Bahl has over 25 years of nonprofit, public policy, and strategic consulting experience. Prior to joining NorthLight Foundation, she served as Senior Director of Partnerships for the Maine Connectivity Authority, where she was the ultimate convener among regional and state level partners focused on expanding broadband and digital access. She also served as Senior Program Officer and Director of Philanthropy at the Maine Community Foundation for 7 years, where she led initiatives supporting entrepreneurship and addressing climate change impacts. Maggie grew up in western Maine and graduated from Colby College. She and her family live in Rockland, Maine.
Erin Clark, Director of Grants & Operations
Erin Clark has over 25 years of experience in administering public and private funding in support of mental health, civic engagement and policy outcomes, two-generational approaches for children and their families, initiatives for people experiencing poverty, and broadband expansion. Prior to joining NorthLight Foundation, she served as Director of Grants Administration for the Maine Connectivity Authority, where she managed implementation of over $200 million across more than 100 infrastructure and digital equity projects throughout hundreds of communities. Erin grew up in southern Maine and graduated from the University of Maine, Farmington. She is currently a member of PEAK Grantmaking, a community advisor for the Maine Philanthropy Center, and a volunteer grantmaker for the Cumberland County Fund at the Maine Community Foundation. She and her family live in Westbrook, Maine.
Erin’s favorite outdoor place is her family’s camp in Washington County.

Daniel R. Tishman, Chairman and President
Daniel R. Tishman is Principal and Vice Chairman of the Board of Tishman Hotel & Realty LP. Dan formerly served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Tishman Construction Corporation and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of its parent company, AECOM. Dan is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of the Natural Resources Defense Council. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Montefiore Medicine and as a member of the boards of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, among others. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Planning from Evergreen State College and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Studies from Lesley College.
Sheryl C. Tishman, Vice President
Sheryl C. Tishman is an avid environmental activist and philanthropist and currently sits on the Board of Trustees of Trust for Public Land, Friends of Katahdin Woods and Waters and the NorthLight Foundation. Sheryl is a former Trustee of Telluride Mountainfilm, Open Space Institute, National Audubon Society Expedition Institute, Mianus River Gorge Preserve, George Mitchell Scholarship Foundation, Teton Valley Ranch Camp and Meade School. She holds a BS in Environmental Studies from Middlebury College and MS in Education from Lesley University. In her spare time she enjoys her gardens and all outdoor pursuits, especially wilderness travel.
Melissa Roy, Secretary
Melissa Roy is Chief of Staff to the Tishman Family Office and a member of the NorthLight Foundation Board of Directors. She has over twenty years of experience leading advocacy, political, and philanthropic efforts, including work to secure federal climate policy, combat childhood hunger, and expand services for vulnerable communities. Melissa has advised individual and institutional donors on strategies to achieve meaningful policy change and has helped mobilize significant capital to advance these causes. She graduated from Georgetown University and resides in Blue Hill, Maine.
Francis W. Beck, Treasurer
Francis W. Beck is Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for Tishman. Prior to joining Tishman in 1992, he was in charge of Finance and Administration for Guinness PLC, overseeing the financial activities for the Group's hospitality development and management business in the United States. Before that, Frank held various Hotel Corporate and Property Controllership positions and started his career in auditing and consulting with the CPA firm of Pannell, Kerr and Forester. Frank holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the State University of New York.
Gabriel L. Tishman, Trustee
Gabriel L. Tishman is the son of Sheryl and Dan Tishman. Gabe currently sits on the Investment Committee of Tishman Hotel and Realty L.P. and Tishman Capital Partners. An avid environmentalist and fly fisherman, Gabe serves on the Anglers Circle of the American Museum of Fly Fishing. Gabe formerly worked with the Natural Resource Defense Council on multiple New York City Sustainability Initiatives, and holds a B.S. degree in Sustainability and Public Policy, with a minor in Business, from the University of Michigan, where he also played on the Division 1 Varsity Tennis team for four years. Gabe and his wife Lexi reside in New York City.
JOSH Tishman, Trustee
Josh Tishman is the son of Sheryl and Dan Tishman. Josh and his wife Layton are owners of Tishman Performance Horses and Spring Creek Ranch in Texas and are parents of two beautiful children, Ema and Caiden. Josh earned his B.A. from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, where he also competed on the Intercollegiate Equestrian Team. He continues to show, train and breed reining horses at the professional level internationally. In addition to teaching and coaching dozens of other reining competitors, Josh is an active outdoorsman and hunter.
