NorthLight’s resilience investments are prioritized in Maine, where the Foundation is funding efforts to build capacity of partners, support innovative solutions, and educate and inform the public and decision makers through robust resilience storytelling and communications.

Colby’s Center for Resilience and Economic Impact is an interdisciplinary research-and-action center in Port Clyde, Maine working to help Maine’s cities and towns build and strengthen their resilience to adversity and develop plans to foster thriving communities.

Maine Office of Community Affairs
The Maine Office of Community Affairs was established by the Maine State Legislature in 2024 to assist municipalities, Tribal governments and regional planning organizations in building a more resilient future.
NorthLight Foundation is supporting stipends for those with barriers to attendance for a resilience summit, to develop a toolkit for municipal capital investment planning and energy resilience, and to create an economic resilience report with a focus on economic resilience in rural and under-resourced communities and regions in Maine.
